Charters of Freedom Dedication Ceremony

Canton was selected to be the Haywood County site for Foundation Forward’s Charters of Freedom. The display will include replicas of the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Civil Rights Amendments. High Country Republican Women founder and former President, Paula Eachus, and HCRW member, Effie Atkinson, were instrumental in bringing the Charters of Freedom to Haywood County and we’re proud of the work they did along with others in the club and community to make this happen. HCRW donated a granite paver that will be on display at the dedication. Please join us Monday the 20th to help us show our support for this project.
